Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Store Director to lead the Center Store operations (Frozen, Dairy, Liquor/Beer) and drive sales while ensuring exceptional customer service. You will guide associates and managers, oversee daily center-store activities, and uphold company policies and standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, inventory integrity, budgeting, and staff development, with a focus on maintaining a safe, productive store environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of ASD Training Program or a similar leadership development program.
• 1 year of experience as an Assistant Manager in a retail, hospitality, or service environment, or 2 years as a Department Manager.
• A High School Diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
• Strong customer service and supervisory skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service Champion: foster outstanding customer service across the store.
• Operational Leadership: assume store operations in the absence of the Store Director.
• Inventory Management: oversee dairy, frozen, and center-store operations with quality checks.
• Inventory Guru: maintain stocked shelves, pricing, and policy adherence to minimize shrink.
• Team Development: train, coach, and promote top talent within the team.
• Sales and Performance Monitoring: communicate goals and monitor sales and labor costs.
• Customer Engagement: handle calls and inquiries professionally and report issues as needed.
