Job summary

Niemann Harvest Market in Illinois seeks a Center Store Director to lead Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, GM, DSD, Cards, and receiving. Maximize margins, sales, and inventories while creating a positive customer experience and store atmosphere.

You will foster vendor relationships, train and develop Associates, and ensure compliance with policies. This role requires high energy, strong leadership, and a deep knowledge of merchandising and supermarket operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction.
• Learns and uses the three E’s: Engagement, Educate, Empowerment.
• Analyzes and measures business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
• Ensures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
• Reviews department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
• Quality assurance checks of all department’s
• Manages new items and is responsible for resets and planograms.
• Responsible for company assets including receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventory of Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, General Merchandise, Liquor, DSD, Tobacco, and Cards departments
• Ensures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk through and audits, etc. Act as NFI's representative both within the store and within the community.
• Continually evaluates and reacts to performance issues.
• Processes information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
• Operates and uses all equipment necessary to run the store.
• Works varied hours/days to oversee store operations.
• Develops effective daily/weekly work plan based on weekly sales projections and budgeted labor goals
• Merchandise planning and execution that leads to a well merchandised facility
• Stock levels and best practices throughout the Center Store Departments.
• Personnel responsibilities for all Center Store Associates
• Accountable for Center Store receiving, invoicing and pricing
• Accountable for Center Store inventory and shrink controls
• Manages Center Store safety and sanitation
• Follows all safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
• Other duties as assigned
