Role Description

Center Operations Supervisors (COSs) are key members of the Oak Street Health center leadership team. COSs oversee daily staff activities and assist the Practice Manager in managing operational initiatives to ensure the clinic meets performance goals and provides safe, high-quality patient care.

Core Responsibilities
  • Support front desk coverage and contribute to service team work.
  • Monitor staff attendance and absences, and plan coverage accordingly.
  • Ensure smooth flow of patient visits by managing provider schedules.
  • Manage transportation schedules to optimize resources and enhance patient experience.
  • Conduct daily operational rounds to verify foundational activities are completed.
  • Monitor work queues, checklists, and performance indicators.
  • Oversee front desk activities for accuracy and quality, including confirmation calls, copay collection, and patient experience, assisting as needed.
  • Maintain the welcoming environment and community space to foster a positive patient experience and support growth.
  • Manage facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Depending on the center's needs, supervise hourly staff such as front desk personnel, medical assistants, and phlebotomists.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management of staff, as invited by the Practice Manager.
  • Use practice dashboards and reports to identify operational improvements.
  • Facilitate service and clinical team huddles.
  • Participate in service recovery and resolution efforts.
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives and workflows.
  • Promote adherence to organizational procedures.
  • Handle conflicts and seek resolutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with other center leaders to address staff performance and workflows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in PC skills.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • US work authorization.

Pay range: $43,888 - $93,574 (dependent on experience, education, location, etc.)
