We have a great opportunity for a behind-the-scenes logistics position. The Last Mile Operations Supervisor is dedicated to achieving great results by overseeing delivery operations from dock to customer at a busy regional distribution center. You will ensure carrier teams are sharp, committed to process execution, and provide world-class customer service. Responsibilities include overseeing a facility and team of independent carriers, fine-tuning processes, supporting P&L decisions, and ensuring customers receive excellent treatment. This high-volume operation requires attention to detail, clear communication of processes and policies, and leadership to be the best. Our clients include iconic furniture, bedding, fitness, appliance, and electronics retailers expecting a superior home delivery experience. The Maersk Final Mile Operations Supervisor will report to the Final Mile Site Manager and collaborate with other team members across all stages of home delivery services. Key responsibilities include managing inventory control, route monitoring, contractor management, recruiting, and customer service. You will be responsible for daily planning, organizing, controlling, and managing the overall operations of outgoing and return orders.

The ideal candidate must excel in high-volume home delivery operations. They should be able to execute prescribed processes efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and parameter-driven environment.

What you would have done last month:

  • Communicated effectively with customers, suppliers, and independent carriers to ensure smooth delivery and high service levels.
  • Coordinated order inventory, inspection, and load-out for routes.
  • Optimized delivery team capacity to meet quality, budget, and fairness objectives.
  • Supported regional management in achieving financial targets through budget reviews.
  • Managed P&L by operating within budget and analyzing variances.
  • Ensured contractual compliance and monitored KPIs.
  • Developed solutions to operational challenges using judgment and initiative.
  • Resolved escalations related to carriers, customer service, and property claims to satisfaction.
  • Utilized site systems to execute daily activities.
  • Recruited and trained independent contractors and monitored their performance.
  • Participated in organizational meetings to evaluate service quality and suggest improvements.
  • Ensured driver safety and compliance during loading and operations.
  • Performed other essential duties as required.

Pay Range:

$60,000 to $70,000 per year. The company may adjust this range based on market conditions and other factors. Final salary will be discussed with the selected candidate(s) in accordance with legal requirements.
