Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Phoenix to oversee daily center operations in the General Manager’s absence. You will lead a team to ensure top-tier customer service and efficient workflow.

The role includes hands-on duties such as installations (hitches/brake controllers) and ongoing learning through U-Haul University, with opportunities for advancement. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience; ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in GM’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources.
• Manage and assign team members to ensure excellent customer service.
• Install hitches and brake controllers as needed.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
