Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Phoenix, AZ to oversee daily center operations and lead a hands-on team. You will step in for the General Manager, allocate resources, and ensure excellent customer service and safety standards.

The role offers on-site work, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities for advancement, with a compensation of $18 per hour and a schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager's absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
