Job summary

DSST Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher – Center Lead for the 2027-28 school year across Denver and Aurora. This in-person, full-time role includes dedicated new-hire training starting in July 2027 and a salary range of $64,000-$82,000 with a relocation stipend for out-of-district candidates.

Lead a Center Program with collaboration among general education staff, paraprofessionals, families, and service providers to deliver individualized supports, IEP-driven instruction, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Current teaching license with a Special Education endorsement, or ability to obtain appropriate Colorado licensure by start date.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and provide specialized instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead individualized instruction aligned with IEPs and program needs.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and coordinate services.
• Supervise and coach paraprofessionals as part of a support team.
• Promote student independence and access with accommodations and strategies.
• Monitor student growth through data, assessments, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with families and related service providers to support students.
• Foster a welcoming, structured classroom culture and participate in school initiatives.
