Job summary

DSST Public Schools seeks a Center Program Special Education Teacher to lead instruction and case management within our nine center-based programs, serving students with diverse disabilities. You will supervise paraprofessionals, collaborate with general education staff, and ensure students are known, supported, and celebrated.

Qualifications include a teaching license and Colorado Special Education Endorsement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid teaching license and Colorado Special Education Endorsement.
• Experience partnering with families and diverse learners; commitment to equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Be an IEP Case Manager: manage students’ IEPs, goals, progress, and team communication.
• Provide accommodations/modifications with fidelity across classrooms.
• Lead a paraprofessional team and collaborate with general education staff and families.
• Deliver rigorous, grade-level instruction and life-skills training.
• Monitor student growth using assessments and data to guide instruction.
• Promote positive school culture and participate on MTSS teams.
• Contribute to school community with rotating duties and parent engagement.
