The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. seeks part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach for the Single Step and/or ACCESS program, part of the Center for Alternative and Supported Education (CASE) in Baltimore.
Classes may be on campus or at partner sites in the greater Baltimore area, with some travel required. Instructors provide instruction in academic preparation, life skills, and workforce readiness, with flexible schedules and meetings/workshops as needed.
Part-time Adjunct Faculty are needed to provide instruction for theSingle Step and/or ACCESS program, part of the Center forAlternative and Supported Education (CASE). These programs workwith adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. CASEprovides customized, student-centered, quality instruction inacademic preparation, life skills and workforce readiness. Must becomfortable working independently and in team teachingenvironments. Attendance at meetings and professional developmentworkshops may be required. Classes may be held on campus oroff-site with partners in the greater Baltimore area.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Instructors should have experience teaching and/or working withpeople with intellectual, developmental, physical and socialchallenges. Most classes are weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm andsome classes may require travel to an off-campus location.
POSITIONS ARE LOCATED ON THE CATONSVILLE AND DUNDALK CAMPUSES
Courses offered include reading, writing, math, career training,life skills and personal enrichment (e.g. money management,independent living, art, music, civics, and stressmanagement).
