Job summary

WNCSource is seeking a Preschool Center Floater to support operations across classrooms and programs in Brevard, NC, with connections to our Hendersonville center network. The role is non-exempt, full-time for 12 months and pays $15.21–$17.28 per hour.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, CDA credential or equivalent, and a passion for early childhood education, teamwork, and flexible classroom coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Credentials/Certificates: Must have achieved or be working toward a CDA Credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds a CDA.
• Preferred Education: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support Center Operations: Lend a helping hand to Site Supervisors, Office Assistants, Administrative staff, Cooks, or other team members whenever needed.
• Guide Early Learners: Engage with children in ways that support the WNCSource Head Start philosophy, creating dynamic learning experiences for Early Head Start, Head Start, NC Pre-K, and After School programs.
• Ensure Safety & Fun: Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment inside the classroom and out on the playground.
• Build Community: Foster warm, supportive relationships with children, families, and team members every day.
