Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a strategic leader to oversee the total operation of a YMCA Center, guiding membership, programs, facilities, staff development and financial development within the Center for Community Well-Being.

You will set annual operating plans, manage budgets, develop collaborations with community agencies, lead fundraising campaigns, recruit and develop staff, and ensure safety and quality across services to strengthen the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent.
• Ten or more years of executive management experience in multi-site operations, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit.
• Proven experience securing large-scale capital development donations for multi-year building projects or facility renovations.
• Proven track record of directly building, monitoring, and scaling operational budgets or revenue portfolios of $8 million or more.
• Proven track record of managing, stewarding, and developing a fundraising portfolio of $1 million or more.
• Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; Ability to recruit top community leaders.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the total operation of a YMCA Center, including membership, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.
• Develops, maintains, and models collaborative relationships with community agencies to support service delivery.
• Directs the financial development activities of the Center and achieves fund raising goals.
• Develops and supports year-round fundraising programs including campaigns, donor acquisition, stewardship, events, and capital gifts.
• Leads board development and ensures staff alignment with the Center's strategic plan.
• Oversees hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of staff; ensures development plans and training funding.
