Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Membership and Belonging Director to lead growth, engagement, and retention at the center. You will own the membership pipeline, drive tours, referrals, onboarding, and conversion while building a high-performing sales and service culture.

You will supervise Membership Managers and front-line staff, collaborate with center leadership, and connect members to programs and services that deepen engagement and long-term loyalty within LA County

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in membership sales, business development, or customer service leadership.
• Experience leading teams and achieving sales or performance goals.
• Experience in nonprofit, fitness, hospitality, or community-based organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive membership sales performance, including new member acquisition, revenue growth, and conversion outcomes.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase member engagement and retention.
• Oversee onboarding processes that connect new members to programs, services, and staff.
• Lead and manage Membership Managers, Coordinators, and front-line staff.
• Monitor pipeline health and daily/weekly sales activity and follow-up.
