Qualifications

• Must meet Connecticut OEC qualifications for Center Director.
• At least 6 years of experience in an early childhood setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of Connecticut childcare licensing regulations and NAEYC standards.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage a team and build a positive center culture.
• Certificate or familiarity with food safety guidelines and meal planning in childcare settings (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the center, ensuring compliance with CT OEC licensing standards
• Supervise, support, and evaluate teaching and support staff
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, children, staff, and the community
• Manage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative tasks
• Increase enrollment through community outreach, marketing, center tours, and participation in local events, fairs, and family-oriented programs
• Ensure health, safety, and nutrition standards are met (including coordination of on-site meal planning and preparation)
