Job summary

Kinard Middle School, part of the Poudre School District, is seeking a center-based substitute with strong instructional support skills for integrated services/special education for the 2026-27 school year.

The role involves providing instructional and physical support to students with significant needs, implementing IEPs, assisting with personal care, and maintaining a safe classroom environment. Requires Colorado Substitute Authorization and CPI training within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field strongly preferred.
• One to two years of related experience preferred.
• Colorado Substitute Authorization required.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage for center-based programs and instruction per lesson plans.
• Adapt instruction to individual student needs and implement IEPs and behavior plans.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and health-related tasks as needed.
• Maintain safe, orderly environment and enforce school rules.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators on coverage plans and communicate regularly.
