Job summary

American Family Care in Waxhaw, NC seeks an operations manager for an urgent care clinic. You will oversee non-physician staff, ensure quality patient care, and maintain the facility and supplies.

You will work with a franchised location, with responsibilities that may vary by franchise and location, and you will help ensure accurate patient charges and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a supervisory role in a medical office.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and consultative communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard staff for roles such as front office medical receptionist, medical assistant, x-ray technician, and other positions.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and execute performance evaluations of non-provider staff.
  • Partner with the Medical Director to ensure medical care follows physician instructions and upholds high-quality standards.
  • Ensure staff comply with company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
  • Lead and organize staff meetings, daily huddles, and in-service programs.
  • Spearhead resolution of patient and staff concerns while monitoring patient satisfaction through various tools.
  • Ensure compliance with front office procedures and accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Maintain and clean the facility, ensuring adequate stock of medical and janitorial supplies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement continual improvement programs.
  • Participate in and execute a local marketing plan to increase community awareness and attract new patients.
  • Research, plan, and represent the clinic at local community events, health fairs, and partnerships to build brand presence.

Compensation

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
