Job summary

Kaysville City is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Specialist III to lead cemetery grounds maintenance, interments, irrigation, and urban forestry under the Cemetery Sexton.

The role acts as a crew leader for seasonal staff, coordinates work plans, and supports asset management while upholding safety and sustainability practices.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and relevant cemetery/park operations experience; a Utah driver's license is required, CDL may be needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of turf, forestry and horticulture within cemetery operations.
• Understanding of sustainable practices and basic business software (MS Office).
• Experience in cemetery maintenance and grounds care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly work schedules and lead a crew of seasonal staff.
• Monitor safety, quality, and adherence to standards on projects.
• Operate and maintain city-owned equipment and tools.
