Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Operations Maintenance Lead to guide crews in completing cemetery maintenance tasks. You will help prepare gravesites, operate lowering devices, and assist in burial/entombment procedures while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance within the park.

You will review daily schedules with supervision, coach staff, and adapt assignments to service needs, maintaining equipment and adhering to company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• At least 2 years industry experience; interment layout and cemetery maintenance preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with power/electrical tools and manual hand tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
• Manual digging and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and discusses daily work schedule with supervisor.
• Implements work schedule and guides coworkers with responsibilities.
• Ensures gravesites are prepared and set up prior to services.
• Performs cemetery maintenance tasks: burial openings/closings, lowering devices, and equipment care.
• Trains staff and ensures adherence to company standards and regulations.
• Identifies efficiencies and supports change initiatives.
