Kaysville City is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Specialist III to lead a crew in cemetery grounds maintenance, interments, irrigation, and urban forestry under the Cemetery Sexton. The role involves equipment operation, routine maintenance, and collaboration with department teams.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience, with supervisory experience preferred. A Utah driver license is required, and a CDL may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of park or cemetery operations experience.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Any combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge is qualifying.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly work schedules and assign tasks as Crew Leader to seasonal and part-time staff.
• Ensure safety standards and quality in completed work.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on cemetery, parks, and buildings.
• Operate City-owned light and heavy equipment and tools.
• Assist in asset replacement planning and staffing coordination.
• Provide customer service and information to the public.
