Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a dedicated Cemetery Groundskeeper to care for the property, perform landscape tasks, and support funeral services with safety and attention to detail. The role requires reading directives, operating maintenance equipment, and delivering strong customer service in a respectful, community-focused environment.

The position emphasizes reliability, physical stamina to lift up to 80 lbs, and availability for holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all landscape maintenance duties (weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.).
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working order.
• Support all funeral services-related maintenance activities.
• Operate cemetery machinery safely and efficiently.
• Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults as needed.
• Install headstones or memorials when required.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance tasks.
• Occasionally perform snow removal as applicable.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
