Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain the cemetery grounds, operate related equipment, and support funeral services. The role emphasizes safety, meticulous maintenance, and reliable service to families and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have a High School equivalency, 2+ years in maintenance, the ability to operate equipment, and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to work evenings, holidays, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years maintenance or related field experience.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor/management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties (weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.).
• Maintain equipment and assist with funeral services as needed.
• Operate cemetery machinery safely and appropriately.
• Assist in installing cemetery vaults and headstones/memorials.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance tasks.
• Assist with snow removal when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
