Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a dedicated Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain our grounds, assist in funeral services, and ensure safety for visitors and staff. This on-site role requires physical stamina, equipment operation, and reliable performance in a compassionate, customer-focused environment.

The position offers full-time hours, holiday and weekend availability, and benefits as part of our employee program. A valid driver’s license and a high school equivalency are required.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalency required.
• 2+ years maintenance or related field experience.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor/management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Support funeral services functions.
• Operate machinery safely.
• Install cemetery vaults or assist in installation.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day maintenance and snow removal if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
