Job summary

Service Corporation International's Alexander, AR location is seeking a Cemetery Services Specialist to perform openings and closings for burials, install and set memorials, and prepare graves and markers while maintaining grounds and facilities.

You will operate hand tools and machinery, respond to family service requests, comply with safety rules, complete required training, and help protect company assets through preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of experience operating standard equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families.
• Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Conducts 25 foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat.
• Fills grave, tamp, seeds or sods.
• Adheres to safety rules and Universal Precautions.
• Maintains and protects Company assets by preventive maintenance on machines.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Completes Dignity University courses and other training.
• Adheres to all standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
