Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Associate to participate in openings and closings for interments, entombments and inurnments, and to perform grounds maintenance across memorials and markers. You will install foundations, markers, and outer burial containers, while ensuring safety and a clean work environment under varying weather conditions.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and at least six months of equipment operation experience.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipment.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (shovel, rake, sledge hammer, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings and closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials and markers.
• Maintains grounds and prepares 25 foot burial radii for service areas.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area and adheres to safety rules.
