Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Worker to assist with openings and closings for interments, entombments, and inurnments, as well as installation of memorials and markers. The role includes grounds and facilities upkeep, preventive maintenance, and responding to client service requests to ensure a respectful, well-maintained burial site.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience operating standard

Qualifications

• Ability to operate handheld tools and equipment including shovels, picks, rakes and other lawn-maintenance tools.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment such as dump trucks, tractors, and tampers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families, associates, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Participates in openings and closings for interments and related memorial installations.
• Performs grounds and facilities maintenance and routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Responds to service/work orders from client families and completes tasks as assigned.
