Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking an grounds maintenance associate to assist in openings and closings for burials, entombments and inurnments, and to install foundations, memorials, and markers. The role includes installing burial containers, handling client work orders, and performing routine maintenance on equipment and facilities.

Applicants should have a high school degree, at least six months of equipment operation experience, and a valid license to operate equipment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• Minimum six months experience operating standard equipment.
• Acceptable driving record and license to operate equipment/vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Must adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings and closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders related to grave and marker maintenance.
• Responds to service/work orders and conducts interment verification procedures.
• Maintains and sanitizes work areas and adheres to safety rules.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Completes Dignity University courses as assigned.
