Job summary

Everstory Partners in Albemarle, NC is seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper dedicated to care, safety, and service for visitors and families.

You will perform landscape maintenance, maintain equipment, support funeral services, install memorials, and handle general upkeep; 2+ years in maintenance, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 80 lbs, and flexibility for holidays/evenings are required.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties such as weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain and service equipment.
• Assist with funeral services and cemetery operations.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Install cemetery vaults and memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Assist with snow removal if applicable.
• Take on other duties as assigned by Grounds Superintendent.
