Job summary

Everstory Partners in Albemarle, North Carolina, is seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper who takes pride in safety, upkeep, and respectful service to families during times of loss. You will maintain grounds, operate equipment, and support funeral services with care.

Strong attention to detail, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and a valid driver's license are required. This full-time role includes benefits and opportunities for growth within a compassionate, value-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing landscape maintenance duties and related tasks.
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring safety of staff and visitors.
• Assisting in funeral services and cemetery operations as needed.
• Operating machinery safely and efficiently.
• Installing or supporting cemetery vaults and headstones as required.
• Day-to-day general maintenance tasks managed by Grounds Superintendent.
