Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain the cemetery grounds, operate equipment, and support funeral service operations. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and high quality customer service for families and visitors.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for holidays and weekends. The position offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package in Alabama.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance such as weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• All functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely.
• Install cemetery vaults or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Snow removal, if applicable.
• Report to the Grounds Superintendent.
