Job summary

The role demands 5+ years of supervisory and mechanical maintenance experience, plus the ability to train staff and manage multiple tasks with interruptions. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 5+ years of grounds maintenance supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical/building maintenance experience.
• Cemetery work experience is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train maintenance employees.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery including backhoe and mowing/trimming equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate grounds maintenance team to ensure safety and upkeep of location.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, fixtures, and equipment across properties.
• Manage maintenance staff and provide ongoing training.
• Enforce company policies and coach team members.
• Collaborate with Sales and Administration to assess location needs.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as weed-whacking and mowing.
• Operate and maintain maintenance machinery safely.
• Install cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed.
