Job summary

Rose Hills is seeking an experienced At-Need Coordinator to ensure complete and compliant documentation for the disposition of remains and to deliver exceptional service to families and internal teams.

You will handle external inquiries, prepare contracts and payments, and coordinate interment schedules while upholding safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment near Whittier, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business environment (mortuary and/or cemetery preferred).
• Excellent ability to communicate persuasively, both verbally and in written form, with customers, co-workers, and management team.
• Associates degree in business preferred.
• CA Driver’s License; Bilingual preferred.
• MS Office software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation supporting disposition of remains is complete and compliant with laws and company rules.
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Act on calls from external customers to provide cemetery products and services, including contracts and payments.
• Assist customers in person with disposition of remains, contracts, and payments.
• Prepare and distribute daily interment schedules, reports, and documents.
• Manage the chain of custody of cremated human remains.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with arrangement Counselors and give support as needed.
• Create At-Need contracts when needed.
