Job summary

Cement Recruiter is seeking a Quality Engineer for our client plant in Oklahoma. You will schedule and supervise quality studies, coordinate improvement projects, and train plant personnel in quality activities.

You will work closely with plant management and engineers to address quality concerns, apply ASTM/AASHTO standards, resolve customer complaints, and support compliance with safety and environmental policies. Some travel to seminars or other plants is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or technical discipline.
• 3–5 years in an industrial environment preferred.
• Minimal experience (internship considered).
• Familiarity with cement industry operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus.
• Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
• Knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Health and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, supervise and participate in quality studies; plan and coordinate quality-improvement projects.
• Work with Plant Management, Supervisors, Maintenance and Process Engineers to address quality concerns.
• Understand and apply ASTM, AASHTO and plant quality standards.
• Assist Quality Manager with customer complaints about cement quality or delivery.
• Promote ongoing improvement in quality systems.
• Coordinate with DOT for cement approval and with Federal agencies to certify lab procedures.
• Be on-call to cover plant needs and assist as needed.
• Ensure adherence to plant rules for conduct, safety, and environment.
• Collaborate with State DOT and Federal Agencies to certify lab procedures and equipment.
