Job summary

A specialized recruiting firm is seeking an environmental compliance officer in Indiana. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a regulatory setting. Responsibilities include maintaining environmental records, preparing compliance reports, and ensuring timely renewals of permits. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Environmental Engineering or related science.
  • At least 5 years experience in a regulatory, enforcement of industrial/environmental setting.
  • Familiar with cement manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine environmental sampling, conduct required inspections and maintain necessary records.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports monthly, and maintain annual environmental operating plans.
  • Ensure all environmental permits/certificates are renewed in a timely manner.

Skills

Knowledge of CAA, CWA, Title V and RCRA regulations
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Good organizational skills
Human relations and decision-making abilities

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related science
