Job summary

Cement Recruiter in Tampa is seeking a Project Engineer to join our field-heavy team handling scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and project administration. You will work closely with project managers and superintendents to oversee construction activities on a growing terminal project.

This role requires hands-on field presence during construction, coordinating with subcontractors, verifying quality, and addressing engineering questions in real time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in related field.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to read and understand project financial documents and budgets (if applicable).
• MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of project plan; support PMs with business cases and investment models.
• Collaborate with PMs in purchasing, scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans/specs.
• Support development and updating of project schedules and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Monitor material deliveries to align with project schedule.
• Administer subcontracts as assigned.
• Coordinate drawings with PMs and superintendents.
• Draft change orders; solicit prices and estimate costs.
• Assist in close out and turnover documentation.
