Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Project Manager in Strategy & Business Excellence to lead capital and plant improvement projects at a cement facility. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality while coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.
The role requires hands-on leadership, risk assessment, and strong communication to drive operational excellence and sustainability across sites, with travel to project locations as needed.
Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of capital and plant improvement projects while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and communication.
Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, risks, and resources to achieve operational and business objectives.
Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and sustainability through strategic project initiatives.
Demonstrated capability to manage complex industrial, manufacturing, construction, or capital projects from concept through completion.
Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
Ability to analyze project risks, solve problems effectively, and make sound business decisions in a dynamic environment.
Working knowledge of engineering, construction management, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight practices.
Commitment to safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering results.
Primarily based at a cement manufacturing facility with regular exposure to industrial plant environments.
Frequent interaction with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and business stakeholders.
Requires travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed.
Must be able to access all areas of the plant and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions while following safety requirements.
Competitive base salary, $97,710 to $130,277, and participation in our annual incentive plan.
