ProPetro is offering a Cement Engineer Intern position in Midland, TX. The role involves developing and performing tests on fluids used in cement operations, and making recommendations based on results.

You will assist in designing and modeling cement jobs and participate in field jobs to monitor execution and success. Ideal candidates are enrolled in engineering programs, available for full-time summer work, and able to operate lab equipment and review instrument calibration while ensuring

Qualifications

Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in engineering or related field.
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) in summer.
Able to work onsite in Midland, TX.

Responsibilities

Learn and perform cement, water, and oilfield chemical tests in the cement laboratory.
Operate standard oilfield lab equipment (cement consistometers, water baths, rheometers, water analysis kit).
Prepare cement mixtures and chemical solutions per formulas or customer specs.
Review calibrations on instruments and adjust as needed.
Design and model cement jobs, including slurry selection and optimization.
Attend cement jobs in the field and monitor execution.
Perform rig up/down and monitor job execution.
Monitor bulk plant operations and loading techniques.
Follow all safety policies and PPE guidelines.
Maintain a safe, clean lab environment and proper chemical storage.
