Job summary

Belmont University is seeking a Student Employee to support event operations. The role involves executing AV equipment setup, coordinating with the Recording and Film Studio Manager, and guiding volunteer ushers during events. Hours are event-based and vary weekly, with a preference for availability in evenings and weekends.

Prior exposure to media formats and live sound is beneficial. Applicants should be comfortable speaking in front of crowds and have familiarity with AV gear.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with various media formats and their differences.
• Experience with Audio/Video equipment is preferred.
• Experience in a movie theater or live events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review event details with client and Studio Manager.
• Set up AV equipment, chairs and microphones.
• Instruct volunteer ushers on duties.
• Play content from multiple media formats.
• Assist with theater evacuation procedures during events.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

The hours for this position are event based and the schedule will vary week to week.

• Going over event details with client and with Recording and Film Studio Manager


• Handling setup of any AV equipment / Chairs / Microphones


• Instructing volunteer ushers on their job duties


• Playing content from various media formats.


• Handling theater evacuation in event of emergency

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with Media Formats and differences between them.


• Familiarity with Audio/Video equipment.


• Work experience in a movie theater a plus.


• Must be available evenings and weekends.


• Comfortable working and speaking in front of crowds

Required Education

-Preferably AET or MOT, MDS major -Sophomore or above

Required Experience

Work experience in a movie theater a plus - familiarity with live sound reinforcement a plus.
