Operations Support Specialist, 1st Shift

Location: Raritan, NJ

Role Overview

The Operations Support Specialist will be part of the Technical Operations team responsible for the production of a personalized cell therapy in a sterile cGMP environment. The role is scheduled on Wed‑Sat, 1st Shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Support process operations by performing floor service tasks such as kitting & kit cleaning, inventory management and data entry, sample management, aseptic equipment cleaning, and cryopreservation according to SOPs and batch records.
• Perform tasks on time while adhering to safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements.
• Build strong partnerships with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality; work cross‑functionally to complete production tasks per shift schedule.
• Support development of manufacturing processes and collaborate to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within Technical Operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma with relevant experience required; certificate, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health services field preferred.
• 0–1 year of operations experience in a cGMP biopharma environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including navigation of specialized software and databases.
• Ability to build strong partnerships and integrate with external collaborators in a matrixed environment.
• Strong independent work ethic; ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and balance competing priorities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and procedure adherence.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance related to manufacturing cell‑based products.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Sufficient vision and hearing to perform job duties and use computers.
• Ability to handle human‑derived materials in a BSL‑2 cleanroom facility.
• Physical dexterity sufficient for computer use and documentation.
• Flexibility to accommodate shift work, evenings, weekends, and unplanned overtime.

Compensation

Base pay range: $46,467 – $60,989 per year.
