Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a TDS CGT-Cell Development Co‑Op in Spring House, PA. You will support hands-on cell therapy process development activities, including CAR-T development, cryopreservation, and cell culture.

You will gain experience in experimental design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within the Johnson & Johnson network. You will work on cryopreservation studies, experiments related to cryobag configurations, and post-thaw cell quality.

Qualifications

• Must have completed undergraduate freshman year.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields.
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must remain actively enrolled during the co-op.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Previous experience with aseptic technique and cell culture is required.
• Knowledge of cell isolation techniques, PBMC isolation methods, statistics, analytical techniques, and experimental design is preferred.
• Experience or coursework in T Cell Biology, Immunology, cryopreservation, CAR-T therapy, or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support projects focused on the development and optimization of cell and gene therapy drug products.
• Evaluate cryobag fill uniformity and assess its impact on cryopreservation performance.
• Characterize temperature profiles during freezing and thawing across different configurations.
• Assess the impact of cryopreservation conditions on process consistency and post-thaw cell quality.
• Perform laboratory activities including aseptic cell culture, cell isolation, and PBMC isolation procedures.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data using analytical and statistical methods.
• Participate in technical discussions related to experimental design and process development strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external project teams through meetings and presentations.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and documentation per guidelines.
