Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Non-LDP Intern/Co-Op in Spring House, PA. The 6-month program runs January to June 2027, full-time, on-site, with hands-on experience in cell and gene therapy development, cryopreservation, and analytical data interpretation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain rigorous lab documentation. The role requires enrollment in a related science program (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD), a 3.0+ GPA, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Completion of undergraduate freshman year required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and active enrollment throughout the co-op period.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support projects focused on development and optimization of cell and gene therapy products.
• Evaluate cryobag fill uniformity and its impact on cryopreservation performance.
• Characterize temperature profiles during freezing and thawing across configurations.
• Assess impact of cryopreservation on process consistency and post-thaw cell quality.
• Perform aseptic cell culture, cell isolation, and PBMC isolation procedures.
• Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and communicate results.
