Job summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific in California is seeking a Technical Service Engineer III to provide expert-level support for Cell Sorting, Spectral Flow Cytometry, and related Flow Cytometry technologies. You will collaborate with researchers worldwide to optimize instrument performance and analytical outcomes.
The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, plus hands-on experience with flow cytometry instrumentation.
Qualifications
- BS strongly preferred (or equivalent working experience 3+ years with cell sorting instrumentation).
- 3+ years of experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific Life Sciences instruments or similar tech.
- Hands-on experience with cell sorting and spectral flow cytometry instrumentation preferred.
- Experience in a Flow Core Facility or Shared Resource Laboratory is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for customers using Cell Sorting, Spectral Flow Cytometry, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with researchers worldwide to optimize instrument performance and analytics.
- Utilize remote diagnostic technologies and maintain relationships with field teams, R&D, and customers.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis across instrument, software, and workflow issues.
