Job summary

AbbVie in Worcester, MA is offering a 6-month Co‑op in Cell Line Development within the Bioprocess Development & Launch group. You will work on cell culture, transfection, ddPCR, and sequencing analyses to support biologics manufacturing processes.

You will be enrolled as a university student pursuing a Master’s in Cell/Molecular Biology, with expected graduation between May 2028 and December 2028, and you must commit to June–December in Worcester.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university, pursuing a Master’s degree in Cell/Molecular Biology or a related field.
• Must be enrolled in university at the time of the Co-Op.
• Must be able to commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie’s Worcester, MA location (June- December).
• Expected graduation date between May 2028 – Dec 2028.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture activities, including culture maintenance, transfection, and FACS.
• Characterize cell lines using ddPCR and sequencing analysis.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis.
• Assist in experimental designs and data interpretation.
• Create and maintain detailed, accurate, and clear documentation of experiments and activities.
• Communicate progress and findings through written materials and oral presentations.
• Collaborate with the Cell Line Development group and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and experimental challenges.
