Job summary

Impellam Group in Cincinnati is seeking a hands-on Research Associate / Lab Scientist to join the cell culture and molecular biology team. You will culture mammalian cells, perform in vitro studies, and support ongoing programs in a fast-paced CRO or industry setting.

You will maintain aseptic culture, run ELISA/PCR/Western blot, document results meticulously, and help optimize protocols while collaborating with scientists and engineers to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on cell culture experience (CRO, industry, or academic lab all count).
  • Comfort with techniques like ELISA, Western Blot, PCR, or cytotoxicity assays.
  • Experience in a regulated lab environment (GMP/GLP) is a plus, not a must.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Culturing and maintaining mammalian cells and primary cell lines using aseptic technique
  • Running in vitro experiments and biological assays
  • Performing ELISA, Western Blot, cytotoxicity assays, and gene expression analysis (PCR/qPCR/dPCR)
  • Documenting your work thoroughly and accurately

About the Role

We're looking for a hands‑on bench scientist to join a research team performing mammalian cell culture, in vitro studies, and molecular biology assays. You'll work closely with scientists and engineers supporting active research programs - this is a great fit for someone who loves lab work, values precision, and wants to grow in a CRO or industry research setting.
