The University of Michigan Medical School's Isom Laboratory, Pharmacology Department, is seeking an entry-level Research Laboratory Technician to support a biomedical research lab. You will assist with cell culture, solution preparation, basic electrophysiology experiments, and preliminary data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of cell biology and lab practices.
• Experience with solution preparation and dilution calculations.
• Familiarity with data collection and basic quantitative analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow protocols and maintain accurate records.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to work independently and with others.
• Willingness to learn cell culture and electrophysiology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cell-culture activities including media preparation and maintenance.
• Prepare solutions and perform concentration calculations.
• Assist with basic electrophysiology experiments and data recording.
• Organize and analyze electrophysiology data using lab software.
• Maintain accurate lab records and track samples and reagents.
• Follow safety procedures and biosafety policies.
