Job summary

Eurofins USA Discovery Services in San Diego is seeking a Scientist I to lead cell-based screening operations, utilizing automation platforms and analytical tools to support large-scale campaigns. You will oversee assay sets, schedule workloads, and ensure data integrity across projects.

The role emphasizes mammalian cell culture, assay optimization, data management, and collaboration across cross-site teams. Monday–Friday, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely results.

Qualifications

• B.S. in biological sciences with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in an operations type screening lab maintaining mammalian cell lines is required.
• Experience performing and analyzing quantitative cell-based and/or biochemical assays is required.
• Experience with data management and analysis software (Excel/GraphPad Prism).

Responsibilities

• Screening cell-based assays in an operations setting using plate readers and lab automation.
• Lead for assigned assay sets; develop weekly assay schedule and execute assays with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate multiple projects including large-scale safety pharmacology panels and HTS campaigns.
• Maintain cell lines and screening plates; manage inventory of bulk vials.
• Support compound management using acoustic dispensing.
