Job summary

Skeleton Technologies seeks a Production Engineer Cell Assembly to lead the new cell line ramp-up in the USA, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. You will oversee equipment FAT/SAT, manage documentation, and ensure timelines while traveling to supplier sites and Skeleton facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with production equipment, robotics, welding, and end-of-line testing in energy storage or related manufacturing, with strong English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Experience ramping up production equipment from supplier handover to meet performance criteria.
• Solid experience with production equipment and automation, including PLC-controlled lines.
• Hands-on robot programming, ideally KUKA; Fanuc is a plus.
• Experience with welding, beading, crimping; Trumpf laser systems a plus.
• Experience with end-of-line testing and cell assembly equipment.
• Background in battery, energy storage, or e-mobility manufacturing, or equipment suppliers.
• Willingness to travel frequently (50%+) including trips to China; strong problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Specify a new cell assembly line and lead the project from equipment order to ramp-up.
• Act as main contact for the equipment supplier during project execution and track progress.
• Escalate delays and risks to Scale-up leadership.
• Ensure technical specs are implemented in equipment and resolve open points.
• Own FAT and SAT processes, including reports and post-test actions.
• Document and organize equipment-related information for future scale-up phases.
• Travel to supplier sites and Skeleton facilities for project support (50%+).
• Prepare materials for steering committee decisions and supplier documentation.
