Job summary

Skeleton Technologies is seeking a Production Engineer Cell Assembly (m/f/x) to join our team in San Jose, CA or Dallas, TX. You will lead the development of a new cell assembly line, coordinate with equipment manufacturers, and drive ramp-up through hands-on testing and process optimization.

The role requires deep experience with production equipment, automation, and robot programming (KUKA preferred). Occasional travel to China and Germany is expected during ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience ramping up production equipment from supplier handover to specified performance.
• Solid experience with production equipment and automation, including PLC-controlled interlinked lines.
• Hands-on robot programming experience, ideally with KUKA robots (Fanuc is a plus).
• Willingness to travel 50% or more during ramp-up, incl. trips to China and Germany.
• Fluent English; German/Chinese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Specify a new cell assembly line and oversee the project from equipment order through ramp-up.
• Act as single point of contact for equipment manufacturer and track progress.
• Escalate delays and risks to Scale-up leadership.
• Ensure technical specs are implemented in the equipment.
• Solve and close technical open points related to equipment.
• Own FAT at manufacturer site and coordinate post-FAT improvements.
