Job summary

College of DuPage is seeking a CEJA Hub - Student Worker to assist the Aurora Network Hub team in creating usable workspaces. The role includes light cleaning and prep for painting under supervision, moving furniture, and light construction tasks.

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring or 1 credit hour for Summer, with a 2.0+ GPA; funding through Illinois Clean Jobs Workforce Network Program. Pay rate is $15/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a student (THIS IS A STUDENT JOB).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be actively registered and enrolled in the CEJA program to be eligible for this position OR be registered for 6.0 credits/2.0 GPA eligibility for Fall/Spring semesters.

Responsibilities

• Assist CEJA Aurora Network Hub team in creating usable workspaces.
• Light cleaning tasks to prepare the Aurora Workforce Hub for light renovation work.
• Prep walls (light cleaning, spackling, sanding) for painting under supervision.
• Paint office spaces, classrooms, conference rooms, restrooms and interior/exterior walls under supervision.
• Move furniture to set up classroom spaces.
• Perform light construction (assembling stools, work tables) as needed.

CEJA Hub - Student Worker (Grant Funded), SC1AWHUBCEJA (FA26)

Student Worker Eligibility:

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semesteror 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived. If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to the CEJA Aurora Network Hub team in their efforts to create usable workspaces.

• Assist in light cleaning tasks to prepare the Aurora Workforce Hub for light renovation work.
• Under the instruction and supervision of a staff member, prep walls (light cleaning, spackling, sanding) for painting.
• Under the instruction and supervision of a staff member, paint the office space, classrooms, conference rooms, restrooms and the inside exterior walls of these spaces.
• Under the supervision of a staff member, assist in moving furniture to set up classroom spaces.
• Light construction as needed (assembling of stools, work tables, etc.)

Pay Rate:

Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
