Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Nashville, TN seeks a Tennessee CEI Lead to provide overall field contract administration on a mega project portfolio, including on-site liaison with client and contractor, supervising staff, and growing CEI services within Tennessee operations.

Initial assignment includes projects valued around $3.5 billion; you will guide proposals, cost control, change orders, and risk management while delivering on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant degree and 12 years relevant experience.
• In lieu of education, 16 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotations and assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts.
• Coordinate project activities, set priorities, and staff to jobs; prepare daily inspection reports and monitor progress against schedules.
• Oversee project controls including checking contractor controls and reviewing schedules; ensure submittals conform to plans and specs.
• Develop strategies with contractors to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
• Lead the project delivery plan using SDA; supervise and mentor team to meet project objectives; resolve non-compliant work.
• Communicate contract interpretation and enforcement; manage change orders, estimates, and cost negotiations.
