Job summary

RK&K in Knoxville/Tri-Cities, TN, is seeking an experienced Project/Construction Manager for Heavy Civil, highway, and transportation projects to lead our CEI team in NE Tennessee. You will manage contract administration and guide CM/CEI staff to successful outcomes.

Essential functions include directing roadway and bridge work, coordinating teams, supporting preconstruction activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years in roadway/structures construction.
• 5+ years managing projects in Tennessee or 10+ years CM with TDOT.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Direct roadway and bridge projects to ensure contract compliance.
• Lead heavy civil, highway, and bridge CM/CEI teams.
• Participate in preconstruction scoping and constructability reviews.
• Monitor project progress and adherence to plans/specifications.
• Ensure CM/CEI staff training and equipment needs are met.
• Support business development activities.
• Recruit and mentor area CM/CEI staff.
