Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector to support the Tampa area project activities, applying standard inspection procedures to ensure structural quality, safety, and conformance to plans and codes.

This on-site role requires ability to interpret plans, perform field tests on concrete, soils, and other materials, and document measurements and observations. Candidates should have a high school diploma and driving license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Ability to earn required qualifications within six months.
• Two years of experience in construction inspection is required.
• One year of which shall be in bridge and/or roadway construction.
• FDOT/Turnpike/CFX experience is required.
• Active driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, site layouts, specifications and methods for compliance with laws and safety regulations.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions, verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures and grades.
• Gather and maintain record documents and write field notes and calculations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
